"Our wedding was more than an opportunity to express our love to one another— it was a chance to share it with our friends from around the world. However planning a wedding from 9000+ miles away with a 14 hour time difference [Australia] was not going to be easy. It was my moms wish that I allow her to interview a wedding planner. Not usually one to relinquish power I reluctantly said yes with one circumstance; that my mom relay the message that I have a very clear idea of the day that I won’t compromise. First, it was record heat. Then, the power went out on the property, and finally our food and guest began to melt. Oblivious and kept comfortable, Ben and I remained unfazed through the madness. All while Kelly was behind the scenes tending to my over heated grandparents, running fans to guests, and storing food on ice. Ben, myself, and our guests never saw that panic. It was her quick responses and knowledge of what's priority that made our wedding everything we’d hope for and more. We have received feedback from guests saying it was the most beautiful wedding they’d been to. Its important to note that I’d missed cake testings, dress fittings with family, florist meetings, tent shopping and property walk throughs because of our unique situation. However, I trusted Kelly with all of these moments and she came through on each and every request. She was one of the best decisions we’d made— second only to saying “yes” to one another. I am very organized and was looking forward to wedding planning, but when my husband and I decided to have an outdoor ceremony and reception, I was worried I wouldn't be able to coordinate everything. "Kelly Rex is an incredibly gifted wedding planner. I would not have made it through the wedding planning process (let alone the actual wedding!), without her by my side and guiding me through! When I first came to Kelly with a ridiculously over-pinned Pinterest wedding board, she giggled a lit bit! My wedding inspiration board contained an overwhelming amount of ideas, themes, and looks, but it didn't seem to phase her!
