Girl lives in New York, guy is traveling in the USA from Australia. Boy calls out to beautiful girl from accross the street. An evening spent talking and the rest is history. A chance meeting that resulted in a forever love.

Working with a couple from across the world (by now girl moved down under to be with boy) can present its challanges but honestly it is totally worth it when you are working with an amazing couple. I became connected with Ben and Emily after being hired by Emily's wonderful mother and sister and over the last year I have grown to simply love this family. I looked forward to this wedding all year long and it couldn't have turned out any better.

From the intimate and romantic wedding ceremony to the stunning reception, it was a perfect day. The day was made by amazing vendors. My first experience (and certainly NOT my last, I love her) with photographer Amy Carroll Photography! Amy has never-ending energy and is a true master of her craft. She captured the beauty of this couple, inside and out.

Emily had a very clear vision of what she wanted for her wedding and a lot of that relied on floral. There was one person I knew had to call to make this wedding a reality, Elizabeth with Posh Petals. Full eucalyptus runners, lush garden roses, and a wonderful balance of softness and rich texture. Elizabeth, you outdid yourself! Em and her maids were made extra gorgeous by the awesome team at Cheeky Strut.

When it comes to naked cakes, there is one person to call, Jason with Cakabakery! I think we can all agree, these "centerpieces" were pure perfection. Rental items were collected from some of the best vendors in Grand Rapids. This included handcrafted farmtables and church pews from Fancy Fray. Chairs, tent napkins and other rental from Special Events and an arbor from Events by iCandy.

This wedding had some of the most memorable speeches from friends and family that had traveled around the world to be there. The big moments were captured by the Leah Trib Productions, we can't wait to see the footage! Jason at New Age DJ kept guests dancing all night long and guests were transported safely by Elite Shuttle. Menu cards and other paper goods were designed by yours truely.

Emily and Ben, congratulations on your wedding! I wish you both all the happiness in the world and if I ever come to the land down under, I will know who to call ;)
