Do you ever have that moment where it just clicks?

That's exactly how I felt after meeting Rachel and Evan over a year before their wedding. I knew from day one that everything was going to come together wonderfully: the love that this couple had for one another set my confidence at an all time high. I also knew I would have a blast putting together an event that encompassed both of their fun personalities. This year-long process was certainly an unforgettable one, as several details came together, leading to a rich winter wedding at Addison Oaks in Leonard, MI!

To succeed at the rich winter wedding theme, we incorporated red majesty linens throughout the event space...and Special Occasions never fails to amaze me with their linens! For further color incorporation, we added blue shades within the table decor and floral arrangements. The perfect amount of rosemary pulled the entire look together! With our extra rosemary, we improvised a little bit and created an impromptu table runner! This was one of many opportunities in which this event allowed me to demonstrate my creative side.

The deep red and pale blue color scheme continued with both bridesmaid's dresses and the groomsmen's ties! And can we talk about the floral?! Viviano's Floral put forth amazing work, tying together the look we had envisioned from the start.

No detail was left unfinished. Bare branches and snowflakes within the paper designs carried the winter theme in a subtle and strong way. In placing all of the unique table-toppers, we wanted every inch of the event venue to successfully demonstrate the powerful bond between Rachel and Evan, while continuing to embrace the winter theme. The winter white roses certainly had an outstanding effect.

I know one of my favorite parts of any wedding, is the dessert section..and these desserts at this wedding did not fail at catching my eye! Let's just say, I adored Love and Buttercream's phenomenal work with this cake. In fact...I loved it "to the moon and back!" In addition to the cake, Addison Oaks put on a dessert display like I have never seen before! There were over 10 cakes to choose from! And who doesn't take advantage of using a little extra rosemary everywhere that we can?!

Overall, a stress-free planning session lead to a fun filled wedding! Rachel and Evan love each other so much, and it was so evident that their chemistry contributed to the event's amazing turnout! From that first "click moment," I knew this wedding would quickly become one of my favorites.

Xoxo,

Kelly
